IPTV Smarters Pro: Installing and Signing In on Anything You Own

Doing it, one step at a time

1. Install it for whatever you have

   Phones and Android televisions pull it from Google Play. A Firestick wants the Downloader sideload, which the Firestick guide sets out one step at a time. Tizen and webOS sets list it in their own stores as IPTV Smarters. Apple hardware calls it IPTV Smarters Player. For desktop, the installers live on the developer site rather than in any store.

   Get login details first

2. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API

   Accept the terms on the first screen, then pick the Xtream Codes option. Ignore the M3U route unless support has specifically pointed you at it, because Xtream pulls down the guide and the on-demand library by itself while M3U frequently does not, and a player without a guide is much harder to live with across time zones.

3. Enter the three values

   Any profile name will do. Then the username, password and server URL exactly as sent on WhatsApp, keeping the http:// and the port. Tap Add User. Type rather than paste if the login fails once, because copied text from a chat window often brings a trailing space with it.

4. Wait for the guide to fill in

   It now downloads channels, on-demand titles and the programme data. The guide can take several minutes to populate properly, so do not judge it on the first thirty seconds. Under Settings, then EPG, switch on "Enable EPG on live TV" so the guide is visible while a channel is playing.

5. Set the player engine

   Go to Settings, Player settings, and choose the built-in player with hardware decoding. If one channel stutters while everything else behaves, change that single channel to software decoding from the player menu rather than altering the global setting and upsetting the rest.

6. Repeat it on the other screens

   The same three values work everywhere, so the second and third devices take about two minutes each. This is the point at which most people set up a phone for travelling and a tablet for the kitchen, and it costs nothing extra as long as the plan covers the streams you actually run at once.

When it goes wrong, and why

"Your account is expired"

Nothing is broken; the term has simply run out. Send a renewal over WhatsApp and those same credentials come back to life within minutes. There is no reinstall, no reconfiguration, and the favourites you spent an evening building are all still sitting there.

The channel list is empty after a successful login

Pull to refresh, then sign out and in again. If it stays bare, the server address is wrong somewhere and the port is the usual culprit. A login that is accepted while no channels appear nearly always means the app found a server, just not ours.

The app keeps closing on a Firestick

Clear its cache under Settings, Applications, Manage installed applications, then reopen it. If it persists, remove it and install a current build. An old APK running on newer Fire OS is a common cause and no amount of reconfiguring will fix it.

The guide shows the wrong times

Smarters takes the time zone from the device rather than from the account, so a phone still set to the country you left will show every programme at the wrong hour. Fix the device clock rather than hunting for a setting inside the app.

On-demand section is empty but live TV works

That combination almost always means the account was added as an M3U playlist rather than an Xtream login. Remove the profile and add it again through Login with Xtream Codes API, and the on-demand library appears with it.
